Choosing The Proper Wedding Flowers On A Budget
Wedding flowers are one of the biggest parts of any wedding budget, so saving money on them should be a top priority for any bride and groom. To save on money and to keep within your budget you should consider buying the flowers wholesale. Especially when the flowers are in season like spring it is a great time to purchase wholesale because of the stock of flowers. Remember to check your arrangement in a mirror with you holding it so you would picture how it would look like to someone else’s view. This is a new generation and silk wedding flowers are the rage.
White wedding dresses come in a wide variety of shades of white; you want to make sure that the flowers that you choose will coordinate with your wedding dress so you should match it with a swatch. Professional florist know accent the flowers just so, so they will attract attention to you in the way that you want. There is no shame in learning from the success and failures of others and doing so will generally save you a lot of grief. Your florist will help you with which flowers are seasonal if you are still unsure as to what to go for. Your local florist can recommend the many colorful options available. You are in for a pleasant surprise at your local florist. Florists can customize flowers to what ever you like, these fresh flowers with professional cutting them will make your bouquet outlast any store bought flowers.
The bouquets can be the same color as the bride’s bouquet or a different color. Bouquets can also be fashioned by keeping in mind the family tradition. Any good wedding florist should have at least a few sample bouquets they can show you. If no live bouquets are available, however, be sure to look through the photo book the florist has. Ensure that gift bouquets are ordered for the mothers. Problems arise because of last-minute flower substitutions due to weather or transportation issues, which may be more expensive. Women find themselves making last-minute decisions about changes to their arrangements, often without seeing what the revised bouquets will look like. Spring flowers make attractive centerpieces for tables and rooms. Bridal bouquets can be prepared with them.
The best way to evaluate how and where to allocate your wedding budget is to determine exactly what your priorities are. These days, 4 out of 5 couples pay for their own wedding and it helps to know how your budget should be broken down. It is with the budget that you can set realistic goals for your wedding and whether or not if your budget is realistic to your finances.
Since summer is the most popular time for weddings, it is very important to decide in advance the type of wedding flowers wanted by the bride. Since the florists are bound to be busy with many other weddings, the bride should be sure of her choices. Florists will also deliver all the flowers to your destination. Flowers in the center of the table always makes a good center piece, your guest will want to take these home and make your wedding day memorable. Most wedding florists will have a portfolio of photographs from past weddings, and they should be happy to share this portfolio of past work with potential customers. Most established florists are not one-man shows but a huge network of florists in different places.

Can I choose more than one flower for my wedding?
I want to have a rose bouquet but it would be out of our budget for my bridesmaids’ to have rose bouquets & to decorate the church & reception hall with roses, too. Is it okay to do roses & another type of flower or is it proper to stick with one type of flower?
Sure, why not? Have as many different types of flowers as you desire. It’s YOUR wedding! ?

It’s your wedding! You have the right to do whatever you want. I personally love the idea of only the bride having roses, it just makes you stand out even more. It’s your day. do what you want.

Sweetie, you can do it however the heck you want! I’ve seen a lot of brides do this. A friend of mine (whose wedding colors were white and yellow) carried a bouquet of yellow roses, and her bridesmaids carried daisies.
My bridesmaids didn’t even carry flowers. I had a big, mixed flower bouquet, and they had white fur muffs with holly pinned on them (it was a Christmas wedding).
Whatever you choose, I’m sure it will look gorgeous!

You can choose whatever flowers you want. All roses can be very expensive, so you might want to find something cheaper (carnations or mums) for your girls and then you have the rose bouquet. A good florist will be able to recommend certain flowers that can be mixed with roses to create a stunning bouquet at half the cost of all roses. Decorating the church and the reception hall in all roses is going to run you a pretty penny, so rethink that. At the church you only want to put 2 small arrangements at the altar so mix them. Depending on what time of year you are getting married in, you can choose seasonal flowers as well. If you are getting married in the fall, choose mums. They come in beautiful colors, are inexpensive and make a very large arrangement. Spring and summer will afford you a much better selection if you are going seasonal. Look for package deals as well. At the reception hall, you can have small centerpieces made up for the tables, rather than going for the large ones. When it comes to weddings, flowers can run you into quite a bit of money so shop around and find the florist who is going to give you the best deal for your money. Remember, they only last a day.

It is entirely proper for the Bride to have a special bouquet. The bridesmaids flowers should be of lesser value and in colors complimenting the wedding color theme.

Of course. You can mix as many flowers as you want. Many brides carry bouquets of mixed flowers. Roses go well with stephanotis, daisies, carnations and many other flowers. Ask your florist for suggestions.

I think it would be nice to have a big arrangement of different flowers. Just make sure they go together. Maybe YOUR bouquet could have more roses than the others! I think it will look really good. I hope you have a great wedding day!

Your wedding!! You do it how you want to!
How about using Your boquet red roses and white babies breath and for bridesmaids … white carnations.
You could put some white carns in your boquet too. that might balance it out.
Congratulations.

Tulips are a wonderful rose substitue. If you’re okay with more traditional settings you could even use carnations and mums depending on your colors and season. What about hydreangeas? They’re many petaled and not that expensive. Daisies are also another great alternative.

You can mix and match all you want, but here is what I suggest: go ahead and have a rose bouquet for yourself. Since you want the bridesmaids to match, have the florist add some baby’s breath to one single long-stem rose of your choice for them to carry. It’s simple and inexpensive, but elegant and beautiful. Also, have one main rose arrangement to decorate the church. Think about greenery and candles, instead of just flowers. Roses, greenery, and lots of candle light . . . very romantic. Good luck and congratulations!

YES! Do roses for your bouquet, it is very traditional and expected that your bouquet be different from your attendants. If you chose a florist, consult with her on different looks and flowers in season that will complement the colors you choose. If you are a diy bride, look at different magazines and websites and save the style of bouquets and centerpieces you like. Go to a local flower mart or grocery store and play – put together different types of flowers to see what you like. There are few rules when it comes to putting flowers together. Just remember to keep the colors complementary and choose flowers that represent the style and look you want for your day.

In my opinion, the more the better. No rules on this that I know of.

Most bouquets and floral arrangements include more than one type of flower, actually. It’s also not at all uncommon for the bride to have more of the most expensive bloom in her bouquet than the bridesmaids do.
Roses are particularly versitile flowers that go well with a wide variety of other flowers. A quick consult with a florist will help you determine which other flowers appeal to you and fit in your budget.

You can have anything you want at your wedding. It’s all in how you put it together. Think of your fav. color the think of a neutral color to go with it.

Absolutely! There is no rule that says you have to only have one type of flower.
Check with your florist. They will be able to tell you what flowers are readily available in the season you’re getting married and what will hold up well. Ask to see the flowers so you have a picture in your mind of exactly how they look. Also ask the florist if they have pictures of bouquets they have done in the past.
Congratulations!

It’s absolutely ok to have more than one type of flower. The bouquets and arrangements at my wedding are going to be a mix of roses, calla lilies, and other flowers. Have whatever flowers you want. As long as the colors complement each other, it doesn’t matter the type of flower.

You should at least pick a main, thematic flower, which would be a rose in your case, but it’s okay to pick another flower as a secondary. But, if that’s what your brides maids will be carrying, make sure to include the flower with other rose bouquets to make things uniform and blend in.

You can do whatever you want! Tons of people use different flowers. Especially to make the bridge’s bouquet stand out more as special. As long as they all match and go together nicely, it won’t even be an issue. You could also try to incorporate SOME roses with the other things, and it would still be cheaper, but really work things in nicely. The cake could match, etc.

I am having sunflowers and gerbera daisies. They are cheap and I like the combo of colors. Pick what you like and don’t worry about it.
P.S. I bet regular white daisies would look good with roses.

Of course. Roses are really expensive. It’s fine if you want to have them for just your bouquet – just match the colours with the bridesmaids’. My own bouquet was a mix of all sorts of flowers, and the bridesmaids were smaller versions. Our colours were pink, lilac, yellow and teal, so it was fun to choose the flowers!

Roses are perfect for a wedding – they are available all year round and come in many colours and shapes – they look wonderful on their own in a stylish bridal bouquet or when mixed in with other flowers. For example roses mix the modern style of a Calla lily combines perfectly with a traditional rose to create a contemporary classic style bouquet.
