It's actually really annoying for just about everyone, so please abandon this idea. Just one good kiss during the toast should take care of it for people.

What I think that my fiance and I are doing is we are hiding Hersey kisses at each table and around the room and when people find them they can show us and we will kiss or something of a variation of that... Good Luck and Congrats!

I really like the idea of a table having to do something as a group in order to get the bride and groom to kiss…it lets them get to know each other, and it’s cuter than the sound of twinkling glass, and not to mention, you won’t have to stop what you are doing a million times to kiss (which I’ve been told starts off as cute, but gets wicked annoying when you’re trying to eat or have a conversation with other guests, etc.)

I’ve been at weddings where they did the song thing. It was fun, and because the guests had to work at it a bit, it didn’t go on forever like the clinking of glasses does.

I was also at a wedding once where they did the "kissing jar" described above. Guests were mortified at how greedy and tacky that came off as. Six years later people still talk about it (and not in a nice way). I don’t recommend that one.

Are you having a theme associated with your wedding? If so, you might incorporate that. Our wedding is at one of the zoos, so we’re having people imitate a zoo animal to get us to kiss.

either you clink a glass, or ring a bell. whenever someone does any of that, they'll have to kiss.

My sister had a huge glass jar all decorated and during the dinner the MC would go around and everytime someone put a dollar in the jar they would have to kiss....it was cute, funny and gave them a little extra cash for their trip.

I think the whole thing is stupid personally..I was glad when people stopped it at mine.

HE HEE HEE oh the groom isn’t there so she kissed his brother….HAA HAA Haven’t seen that at the last 5 weddings I was at.

Do the song thing….They have to sing a song with the word love in it!

Does anyone know of some cute ideas for getting the bride and groom to kiss at the wedding reception?
I’ve heard of some really great ideas such as making the table get up and sing the first bar of a love song, etc. Basically I’m just looking for something cute and memorable, but not outlandish to get the bride and groom to kiss at the wedding reception. I want it to have to be a little bit harder than ringing bells or clinking glasses. Anyone have any good ideas?
